One More Chapter Completed
Last night was a big deal. Last night Scott graduated from residency! After four years of undergrad, four years of medical school, and now four years of residency, he is finally done with training! I am so, so proud of him! I just keep looking at him in awe over what he's accomplished, so happy that we made it to this point! We are so grateful for our parents and siblings and friends who have been there for us along the way, encouraging and supporting us when we needed it the most. We love you guys, and we're real excited to see what comes next!

Vacation!
Well, we are off on vacation for the next two weeks! I started last Thursday, when I headed to Colorado Springs for an interview. I stayed with my sister and her family, and loved catching up on my time with Roman, my nephew.
On Saturday morning I flew to Dallas, where Scott and I met up during our layover, and then we went on together to Amarillo, TX. We spent four days with Adam and Jessica and their cute kiddos, having all sorts of fun together.

The boys fixed us a fancy-pants dinner
Steak, twice baked potatoes, & asparagus, complete with a red wine reduction sauce
We visited the second grandest canyon in America - Palo Duro - for a little hiking
Hudson proved himself to be quite the trooper out on the trails, but little miss Addison snoozed through the whole thing - she's lazy like that.
We spent an afternoon at Adam's parents house, where the boys broke out the guns and skeet. We ladies and babies enjoyed snacks in the sun, and we grilled that evening.
We had such a great time with them, catching up and enjoying each other's company. Now we're on to California and will be spending the next few days driving up the coast, on Highway 1, headed for San Francisco to see family.

Newest Grad on the Block
I passed my Comprehensive Exam!!!!!! This was the huge, final test from my school to certify that I have learned enough in my program to earn a Masters Degree in Nursing. I am DONE with Graduate School!
For the last three weeks I've been holed up away from the world, surrounded by books and folders and review courses, going over everything I've learned since starting this program in January 2011. I am SO thankful to have passed this exam on the first attempt, as many students do not. I know I never could have done this without lots of prayers from all the people I love, the unending support of my hubby, and some serious study friends who helped me get through (thank you Shannon, Shawn, and Stina!). Next, I need to take the National Certification Exam, also known as boards. Hopefully I'll be able to do that in the next two weeks.
For today though, I am just reveling in the fact that I'm now Megan Mackey, MSN.
